ARCHITECT@WORK is all about ‘Architecture and Light’
Every two years, the successful concept of ARCHITECT@WORK takes place in the Netherlands. After the 14 international editions last year, it is now time for the seventh edition in Rotterdam Ahoy on 12 and 13 September 2018. In 2018 and 2019 a couple of new organisations will be added to the already extensive international offer: Turin, Madrid, Bilbao, Wiesbaden, Hamburg and Oslo.
During the upcoming edition everything will revolve around ‘Architecture and Light’, thus responding to a hot and highly topical issue for (interior) architects, both for spaces inside and outside.
As usual, there will also be plenty of side activities. On Wednesday 12 September at 2.30 p.m. de Architect will start by giving a presentation on designing with light. At 4 p.m. Es Zijlstra of MaterialDistrict will tell us more about ‘Lovely Light’. The seminar ‘Landscape of the Future’ by artist and innovator Daan Roosegaarde will take place on Thursday 13 September.
Furthermore, there will be ‘Lovely Light’, an exposition of materials by MaterialDistrict, and as tradition dictates also the Dutch DAPh photographers will be present again. Interesting to highlight as well is ‘The ART of upcycling’ by Ocean Sole.
